Do
we have to do anything to begin receiving PreK-12 Notification announcements
from our school?
No. Once your school signs
on to the service, you will automatically begin receiving announcements
sent to your primary phone number that you provided to the school
at the beginning of the school year. If that number changes during
the year, please notify your school office.
-
For
emergency announcements, I want to be contacted at more than one
number. How do I add numbers to my emergency contact list?
To add multiple contacts,
call the PreK-12 Notification
Family Hotline from your
primary phone number. Simply follow the telephone prompts to manage
your list. For security reasons, you must call from your primary
phone number to access your contact list
-
My
work phone requires dialing an extension. Should I include my work
number on my list?
No. If your work phone
number requires an extension to be entered or if a receptionist
answers the phone, the school announcement will not reach your extension.
Only direct-dialed lines can be reached. To receive messages at
work, including a business email address may be your best solution.
-
What
if no one is at home to receive the school announcement?
If there is no answer,
the school announcement will be left on your voicemail or an answering
machine. If you do not have an answering machine or voicemail service, PreK-12 Notification will redial for up to three attempts.

Will
our school continue to use other traditional means to communicate
emergency and other urgent school news to parents?
Yes. Schools are encouraged
to continue using other traditional means to make announcements,
including radio and TV. PreK-12 Notification is an extension of
these traditional methods that responds to the busy, mobile lifestyle
of today's families.
-
If
our home phone number is protected by a privacy manager intercept
program (call blocking service) will we receive school announcements?
Yes. Your school's name
and phone number will appear on your Caller ID.
-
How
can I be sure that our phone numbers and email addresses will not
be shared with or sold to third parties?
PreK-12 Notification and its
affiliates have a strict privacy policy. Your personal information is secure and, under no circumstances,
will your phone numbers or email addresses be shared with third
parties. Please see our Privacy & Security Notice
Notice for details.
-
I
do not want to receive messages from my school. How can I have my
number removed?
Contact your school office
and ask to be put on the Do Not Call List.
